Doha, Jan. 22 (Petra) — Jordan will participate in the 21st edition of the Qatar 2025 Fencing Grand Prix, set to take place in Doha this Friday, continuing for three days.
Held at Aspire Zone Sports City, the tournament will feature 440 athletes, including 247 men and 193 women, from 56 countries across the globe. Jordan is among the nine Arab nations represented, alongside Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Morocco, and Tunisia.
The total prize pool for the competition is valued at $22,000, with the first-place winner receiving $5,000, the runner-up earning $3,000, and the third and fourth-place winners each securing $1,500.
The event will begin with the men’s preliminary rounds on Friday and conclude with the final matches on Sunday evening.
The tournament will feature nine rounds across three weapons, epee, foil, and sabre, with three rounds for each weapon conducted worldwide.
