Amman, Jan. 22 (Petra) – Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Ahmad Safadi emphasized the strong ties between Jordan and Egypt, noting their alignment on many key issues serving the interests of both nations, their peoples, and Arab causes, particularly the Palestinian issue.
During his meeting on Wednesday with Hazem Omar, Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Egyptian Senate, Safadi highlighted that the relationship between Jordan and Egypt, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, serves as a model of trust, coordination, and mutual respect.
Safadi underscored Egypt’s pivotal role in the region, especially regarding the Palestinian cause, which he described as Jordan’s and the Arab world’s central issue. He called for heightened coordination in the post-aggression phase in Gaza.
Omar reaffirmed the strength of Jordanian-Egyptian relations and the shared commitment to their development across all sectors.
