Jordanian, Palestinian Medical Councils Discuss Strengthening Cooperation

Amman, Sept. 10 (Petra) — The Jordanian and Palestinian medical
councils discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and exchange
expertise in medical and specialized fields during a meeting held in
Amman on Wednesday.

The discussions took place during a visit by a delegation from the
Palestinian Medical Council to the headquarters of the Jordanian
Medical Council.

The Palestinian delegation included Deputy Chairman Dr. Mohammad Abu
Younis, Secretary-General Dr. Shawqi Sobha, and Chairman of the
Higher Scientific Committee Dr. Saeed Al-Sarhana.

Jordanian Medical Council Secretary-General Dr. Manar Al-Lawama
emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and sharing
expertise to help develop medical training and specialization
programs and enhance the capabilities of medical professionals in
both countries.

She said closer cooperation reflects the strong fraternal ties
between Jordan and Palestine and the longstanding bonds between their
two peoples.

The two sides stressed the importance of maintaining continued
communication and effective coordination between the councils and
expanding areas of joint work in ways that serve the healthcare
sector and contribute to its advancement in both countries.
