Amman, July 26 (Petra) – Jordanian Yaman Al-Tal, a consultant
urologist and sexual medicine specialist, was awarded a fellowship by
the Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons (SUPS), becoming the only
Arab physician in the world selected for its inaugural founding
class.
The honor was unveiled during the society’s Las Vegas summit. The
inaugural membership is a one-time distinction granted to just 10
surgeons worldwide.
In press statements Sunday, Al-Tal said the fellowship recognizes
surgical excellence in specialized prosthetic urology, a commitment
to continuing medical education, scientific contributions, and
adherence to top professional standards.
At the summit, he served as the sole Arab speaker, presenting a paper
on how digital health awareness improves patient access to modern
treatment options.
He noted selection of a Jordanian surgeon to join inaugural global
group showcases the international competitiveness and leadership of
the Kingdom’s medical community.
