Zarqa, July 13 (Petra) — A delegation from the Jordanian Parliament
Children arrived on Monday in the Emirati city of Sharjah to
participate in the fourth and final session of the Arab Parliament
for the Child.

The session, convened under the theme “The Role of the Family in
Building a Safe Environment for the Child,” features youth
delegations representing 15 Arab nations.

Mohammad Al-Zoubi, head of the permanent office of the Jordanian
Parliament Children and Director of the Zarqa Culture Directorate,
told Petra that the session will focus on the pivotal role of
families in providing stable and safe home environments. He noted
that the forum aims to protect children’s rights, encourage balanced
growth, and foster values of dialogue, belonging, and social
responsibility across the Arab world.

Al-Zoubi added that the Jordanian representatives will share the
perspectives and aspirations of Jordan’s youth, drawing on the
parliamentary awareness, dialogue skills, and leadership training
they acquired domestically. He emphasized that the event offers a
platform to prepare promising young leaders and cultivate the
capabilities of the rising generation.

The participation of the Jordanian youth highlights the kingdom’s
commitment to empowering children and involving them directly in
discussions that affect their present and future, Al-Zoubi said,
describing the delegation’s presence as an active contribution to
regional child advocacy rather than a mere formality.

The Arab Parliament for the Child, headquartered in Sharjah, is a
joint Arab initiative designed to promote civic participation, public
speaking, and leadership skills among children while providing a
regional platform for cultural exchange and youth advocacy.
