Amman, June 28 (Petra) — The Jordanian International Search and
Rescue Team dispatched by the Public Security Directorate/Civil
Defence has commenced search and rescue operations for those missing
and trapped following the recent earthquakes that struck Venezuela,
upon arrival in Caracas aboard a Royal Jordanian aircraft.

The team is composed of 100 specialised personnel, including three
doctors from the Royal Medical Services, as well as a group of search
and rescue experts, and medical and technical support specialists.

It is equipped with the latest tools and technology for disaster
response in accordance with the highest international standards.

The team, recognised internationally for its capabilities, is
undertaking field operations in coordination with the concerned
authorities in Venezuela at three locations in Caracas, utilising its
resources to save lives, in line with the Public Security
Directorate’s mission and in implementation of Royal directives to
provide aid to populations in need.
