Amman, Sept. 1 (Petra) — The King Abdullah II Fund for Development
(KAFD) organized Tuesday a consultative workshop with representatives
from the public and private sectors, nonprofit organizations, and
local and international development institutions and programs, to
review proposed directions for the Fund’s strategy for 2027-2029.

The workshop forms part of preparations for the KAFD’s new strategy
and reflects its approach of strengthening partnership and
consultation with relevant stakeholders, drawing on diverse expertise
and perspectives to set priorities and shape its future direction.

The KAFD presented the general framework and proposed directions for
the strategy. Participants discussed future priorities and areas of
focus for the coming three years and offered observations and
proposals related to the Fund’s role and its development programs and
projects.

KAFD’s Director General Samer Al-Mofleh said the new strategy stems
from efforts to develop the KAFD’s work and strengthen the impact of
its programs and projects, in step with national priorities set out
in the economic, political and administrative modernization visions,
as well as rapid changes and the needs of target groups.

Al-Mofleh stressed that involving partners and stakeholders at the
strategy-drafting stage is a fundamental step toward building
realistic, ambitious directions grounded in experience and
participation, translating priorities into implementable programs and
projects with sustainable development impact.

He underscored the KAFD’s commitment to aligning its future
directions with national priorities and the Economic Modernization
Vision, particularly in human capital development, entrepreneurship,
and strengthening skills and capabilities to improve youth readiness
for the current and future labor market.

The workshop featured a dialogue on the proposed strategy directions,
during which participants exchanged views and shared observations and
proposals to help refine the strategy and finalize its priorities and
themes.

The KAFD marks its Silver Jubilee at the end of this year, an
occasion to reflect on its key milestones and achievements while
looking ahead through the new 2027-2029 strategy, reinforcing the
continuity of its development role and the advancement of its tools
and programs.
