Amman, Jan 24 (Petra) — His Majesty King Abdullah II on Saturday received a letter from Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, in response to the letter His Majesty sent today.
In the letter, Huneiti praised the King’s unwavering commitment to developing the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army to ensure that the JAF are always prepared to perform their duty in safeguarding Jordan and protecting its citizens.
He added that it is an honor to be tasked with developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy and roadmap to achieve a structural transformation in the armed forces.
Huneiti noted that His Majesty’s directive will motivate the armed forces to move forward with the modernization and development process, particularly in light of the need to keep pace with modern combat methods, emerging regional and international challenges, technological developments, and artificial intelligence applications.
He said the King’s vision will guide the JAF through the process in order to achieve the desired development, enhance the efficiency and combat readiness of army personnel, activate the role of the research and development centers affiliated with the armed forces, and restructure JAF investment funds and companies, in line with the highest professional standards.
