Amman, Sept. 8 (Petra) –His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday
received Chairman of the Shura Council of Oman Khalid Al Maawali, and
his accompanying delegation.
The meeting, attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein
bin Abdullah II, addressed recent regional developments, as well as
the need to de-escalate current tensions and ensure the security and
sovereignty of Arab states.
His Majesty underscored the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and Oman,
as well as Jordan’s readiness to continue strengthening them.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of
the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, Speaker of the House of
Representatives Mazen Qadi, and Oman’s Ambassador to Jordan Sheikh
Fahad bin Abdulrahman bin Ahmed Al Ojaili attended the meeting.
