Amman, July 2 (Petra) — Minister of State for Public Sector
Development Badria Al Balbisi patronized a ceremony on Thursday to
announce the performance evaluation results of governorate public
works directorates for the years 2024–2025.

The ceremony, attended by Minister of Public Works and Housing, Maher
Abul Samen, concluded a comprehensive assessment of 14 directorates
aimed at measuring institutional and service delivery performance
while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Al Balbisi emphasized that evaluating the performance of these
directorates represents a practical implementation of the Public
Sector Modernization Roadmap. She noted that it fosters
accountability and boosts the efficiency of government services by
linking evaluation outcomes to the government performance management
system and its executive program for 2026–2029.

For his part, Abul Samen stated that the evaluation serves as a
strategic tool to elevate institutional output and improve the
quality of services provided to citizens. He added that the ministry
is aligning its development plans with the objectives of the Economic
Modernization Vision and the public sector reform program to
institutionalize results-based management.

The evaluation results revealed that the Madaba Public Works
Directorate secured first place, followed by the Ajloun Directorate
in second, and the Jerash Directorate in third. Additionally, the
Tafilah Directorate won the award for Corporate Surveying and
Effective Communication, while the Aqaba Directorate received the
award for the Improvement and Innovation metric.
