New York, June 29 (Petra) — Major US stock market indexes posted
significant gains on Monday, while the US benchmark West Texas
Intermediate (WTI) crude stabilized at $70.45 per barrel.
At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 306
points, or 0.59 percent, to finish at 52,182 points.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index jumped 522 points, or 2.07
percent, to close at 25,820 points.
Meanwhile, the broad-market S&P 500 Index gained approximately 86
points, or 1.17 percent, to settle at 7,440 points.
