London, June 09 (QNA) – HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi met on Tuesday separately with HE UK National Security Advisor Jonathan Powell; HE Minister for the Middle East and North Africa at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Hamish Faulkner; and HE Minister for International Development at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Baroness Jenny Chapman.
The meetings discussed bilateral relations and ways to support and strengthen them and explored the latest developments in the region, particularly the mediation efforts between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the meetings, HE the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Qatar’s full support for the ongoing mediation efforts, which aim to address the root causes of the crisis through peaceful means and dialogue, leading to a sustainable agreement that prevents renewed escalation.
