Amman, Sept. 6 (Petra) — The Ministry of Education and Human
Resources Development and the Ministry of Digital Economy and
Entrepreneurship have launched a specialized digital skills training
program targeting 136 supervisors and about 6,500 teachers nationwide
under the Youth, Technology, and Jobs Project.

According to a Ministry of Education statement issued Sunday, the
program, implemented by INJAZ, targets supervisors and teachers
responsible for the digital skills curriculum across Jordan’s
governorates.

The launch included the start of in-person training for supervisors
on the first two of eight program modules. The event was attended by
Education Ministry officials, along with representatives of the
Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship’s Youth, Technology,
and Jobs Project, the Ministry of Education, and INJAZ.

The ministry said the program is an advanced phase of training
following the completion of instruction for digital skills teachers
on methods for teaching the new curriculum for grades seven through
12.

The current phase focuses on strengthening supervisors’ and teachers’
specialized technical knowledge and skills and improving their
ability to apply the curriculum’s content in the classroom.

The program covers eight areas: computing systems, the impacts of
computing, networks and the Internet, algorithms and programming,
data analysis, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and
cloud computing.

Training will begin with 136 digital skills supervisors from the
Ministry of Education, preparing them to support teacher training and
program implementation across the governorates.

Teacher training will use a blended model combining self-paced online
learning, training with ministry supervisors, virtual sessions, and
continued follow-up and support. The approach is designed to enable
participants to complete all eight modules and extend the training to
all targeted teachers.

The program also emphasizes practical application through interactive
activities and exercises using digital tools and technologies,
providing participants with opportunities for hands-on practice,
collaboration, and knowledge sharing.

The initiative, which aligns with the 2026–2030 Education Strategic
Plan, is part of efforts to strengthen digital skills in the
education sector and prepare teaching staff to keep pace with
technological developments and equip students with skills relevant to
learning and work in a digital environment.
