Amman, July 1 (Petra)- Ministry of Water and Irrigation on Wednesday
uncovered multiple illegal water pipeline connections in Muwaqqar
district, south of Amman.
The unauthorized fixtures were used to siphon off water from the
pipeline to fill water tankers, according to the ministry.
In a statement, the ministry said it dismatled the illegal taps,
repaired the main, and launched legal action against the
perpetrators.
The ministry stressed its commitment to protecting the Kingdom’s
water resources, vowing to enforce the law against illegal usage to
secure citizens’ water rights.
