Moderate Weather to Continue Through Thursday

Amman, Sep. 7 (Petra) — Moderate weather is expected across most
regions through Thursday, with temperatures rising slightly above
seasonal averages on Monday before easing later in the week,
according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

Despite Monday’s rise in temperatures, conditions will remain
moderate across most parts of the country. Hot weather will prevail
in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, while
moderate northwesterly winds are expected to become active at times.

Similar conditions are forecast on Tuesday, with little change in
temperatures or the overall weather pattern. Most regions will
continue to experience moderate weather, while the Badia and
low-lying areas remain hot.

Temperatures are forecast to edge lower on Wednesday and Thursday,
maintaining moderate conditions across most of the country. Hot
weather will persist in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea
and Aqaba, accompanied by moderate northwesterly winds that may
strengthen occasionally.

Monday’s temperatures are forecast to reach 33 degrees Celsius in
East Amman and across the plains and 31 C in West Amman. Highs will
reach 30 C in the northern highlands, 29 C in the Sharah highlands
and 37 C in the Badia.

Temperatures are expected to reach 39 C in the northern Jordan Valley
and 41 C in the southern Jordan Valley.
