Moscow international airports impose temporary flight restrictions over safety concerns

Moscow, June 30 (Petra) — Russian authorities on Tuesday imposed
temporary flight restrictions at Moscow’s Vnukovo, Domodedovo,
Zhukovsky, and Sheremetyevo international airports as a precautionary
measure to regulate air navigation and ensure flight safety over the
capital.

The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) stated in a
press release that the restrictions include the temporary suspension
of certain arrivals and departures. The agency emphasized that the
decision was taken solely to guarantee aviation safety, adding that
full flight operations would resume as soon as the conditions
prompting the measures are resolved.
