Amman, Sept. 10 (Petra) –The national basketball team was defeated
83-80 by Chinese Taipei on Thursday at the Aichi International Arena
in Nagoya, Japan, in its opening Group B match at the 2026 Asian
Games.
The match was closely contested, with the two teams separated by a
narrow margin before Chinese Taipei secured the three-point victory.
The national team will continue its Group B campaign against Qatar on
Saturday, before facing Iran on Sunday in its final first-round
match.
