NCSC, EHS cooperate to protect Jordan’s health data

Amman, Sep. 1 (Petra) – National Cybersecurity Center (NCSC) and the
Electronic Health Solutions (EHS) on Tuesday discussed ways to
enhance the company’s digital protection system and implement the
Jordan National Cybersecurity Framework to ensure protection of
health data and continuity of e-services.

The two sides also reviewed mechanisms for improving system readiness
and early response to cyber threats and incidents and looked into
ways to strengthen data protection standards and their alignment with
approved national requirements.

During his visit to the company’s headquarters, NCSC Director,
Mohammad Smadi, said implementing the framework aims to build a
“secure and reliable” digital environment.

He stressed the center’s commitment to partnering with vital sectors
to support the digital transformation process and protect national
systems.

In turn, , EHS CEO, Omar Ayesh, said data security is a “key” pillar
of the company’s work, adding that Hakeem program is the “main driver
of digital health transformation in Jordan.”

He noted that this situation requires action to “continuously” update
digital defense systems and keep pace with artificial intelligence
technologies to protect information security.
