Amman, July 12 (Petra) — The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation
(OIC) on Sunday expressed its strongest condemnation of the Iranian
attacks targeting Jordan, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, the United Arab
Emirates, and Bahrain, calling them a blatant and ongoing violation
of these nations’ sovereignty and a breach of good neighborly
principles based on mutual respect.
The OIC General Secretariat stated in a press release that these
repeated attacks, coupled with Iran’s continuous targeting of
commercial shipping and obstruction of international trade,
constitute a clear violation of international law, the United Nations
Charter, and the OIC Charter. The organization warned that such
actions undermine international efforts to restore security and
stability in the region.
The statement reaffirmed the OIC’s full solidarity with the targeted
nations, expressing firm support for all measures they take to
safeguard their sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
