Oil Prices Edge Higher in Global Markets

Singapore, July 03 (QNA) – Oil prices edged higher in Asian trading on Friday amid cautious optimism over peace talks between the United States and Iran.

Brent crude futures rose 17 cents, or 0.24 percent, to USD 72.10 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures gained 14 cents, or 0.20 percent, to USD 68.83 a barrel.

Both benchmarks fell to their lowest levels since late February in the previous session. Brent crude is down 0.02 percent so far this week, while WTI is up 0.12 percent, with both trading in a narrow range. (QNA)
