Products Exhibition to Launch in Dhofar Governorate

Salalah,
29 July 2026 (ONA) — The activities of the 9th Omani-Bahraini Products
Exhibition, organized by the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association in
cooperation with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Sultanate of
Oman, will launch in Dhofar Governorate next Saturday, 1 August, and will continue
for several days.

The
organization of the exhibition stems from the fraternal, close, and historical
relations between the two countries and peoples. It reflects the sincere desire
and keenness of the wise leadership in both brotherly countries, as well as
their directives to develop and foster relations across all fields, reaching
the highest levels of coordination, cooperation, and rapprochement up to the
stage of integration between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman.

The
exhibition aims to achieve a package of strategic goals, most notably
supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in both countries by displaying
their products and creating partnerships between the two sides, in addition to
enhancing trade exchange by opening direct marketing channels between producers
and consumers, thereby contributing to increasing trade activity between the
two countries.

It
also aims to support SMEs by providing an incubating platform for them to
showcase their products and services and enhance their ability to access new
markets. Additionally, it seeks to facilitate the exchange of expertise by
giving SME owners the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience in the
fields of production, marketing, and business management, benefit from
inspiring success stories, highlight the cultural, craft, and heritage
diversity of both the Sultanate of Oman and Bahrain, introduce the Omani public
to Bahraini products and vice versa, and provide an interactive environment that
encourages the establishment of future investment partnerships among
participating enterprises.

Dr.
Juma Ahmed Al Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate of
Oman, confirmed that organizing this edition of the exhibition underscores the
government’s interest in and support for SMEs to develop their business and
production volume, forming an added value to the gross domestic product (GDP).
He pointed out that previous editions of the exhibitions resulted in approximately
560 partnerships between SMEs in both countries.

He
noted that organizing this exhibition reflects the strength and solidity of
Bahraini-Omani relations, acting in implementation of the directives of the
leadership in both countries to support and enhance relations in all fields,
translating the outcomes of the Joint Omani-Bahraini Committee, and activating
the memorandums of understanding signed between the two countries across
various sectors.

For
her part, Rudaina Amer Al Hajri, Head of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship
Association, emphasized that holding such exhibitions is of paramount
importance in strengthening partnerships between SMEs in both countries, which
positively reflects on their volume of business and creates job opportunities.

She
added that approximately 30 SMEs are participating in the exhibition,
presenting various products ranging from fashion, perfumes, incense, Omani
frankincense, Omani halwa, accessories, and heritage and craft products that
reflect the Bahraini and Omani environments, as well as other household
supplies.
