Amman, March 28 (Petra) – Power stations are operating at high efficiency and oil derivative reserves are reassuring despite regional tensions, ensuring a non-stop supply without outages during the current period, the Parliamentary Energy and Mineral Resources Committee said on Saturday.
In a statement, the committee urged people not to stockpile fuel, which could be a public safety risk, assuring that oil derivatives are available in sufficient quantities, and there is no cause for concern.
It said regulatory authorities will take action against fuel stations that refuse to sell or hoard oil derivatives, stressing the citizen’s right to obtain their needs and vowing that violations will not be tolerated.
The committee urged the public to shun rumors or misinformation and to rely on news only from official sources, affirming that protecting citizens and the economy is a top priority during “this critical period.”
