Peak Electricity Load Hits 4,160 MW Amid High Temperatures

Amman, Aug. 2 (Petra) — Peak electricity load reached 4,160
megawatts (MW) on Saturday, according to figures released by the
National Electric Power Company (NEPCO).

The company said the national electricity system continues to operate
with a high level of reliability, noting that it has stepped up its
operational readiness under pre-established plans to meet increased
electricity demand amid persistently high temperatures.

NEPCO also called on consumers to use electricity efficiently,
particularly during peak demand periods, to help maintain the
stability and reliability of the national power grid.
