Amman, April 20 (Petra) — Prime Minister Jafar Hassan received Finnish President Alexander Stubb at the Prime Ministry on Monday to discuss the expansion of bilateral ties, with a specific focus on investment, education, and high-tech sectors.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized Jordan’s commitment to deepening its partnership with Finland both bilaterally and within the framework of the European Union.
He highlighted the upcoming Jordan-EU Investment Conference, scheduled for the final quarter of this year, as a strategic platform to catalyze trade and economic synergy between the Kingdom and EU member states.
President Stubb expressed his appreciation for Jordan’s pivotal regional role under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II. He noted that Finland is keen to explore and invest in Jordan’s growing sectors, citing significant potential for future collaboration.
The discussions also covered a range of regional and international issues of mutual concern. The meeting was attended by Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smeirat, Jordan’s non-resident Ambassador to Finland Fayez Khouri, and Finland’s non-resident Ambassador to Jordan Anne Meskanen.
