Amman, July 1 (Petra) — Security forces arrested a convicted
criminal who had been on the run while facing a 20-year prison
sentence for attempted murder, the Public Security Directorate (PSD)
announced on Wednesday.
The arrest was executed during a targeted security operation in
Jerash, coordinated jointly by the Judicial Enforcement Department
and the Jerash Police Directorate.
According to a PSD spokesperson, the apprehended fugitive was wanted
in connection with four separate criminal cases, in addition to the
standing 20-year sentence handed down for attempted murder.
Following the raid, the suspect was taken into custody and referred
to the relevant legal authorities to complete necessary judicial
procedures before being transferred to the correctional facilities
and courts holding the warrants for his arrest.
