KHARTOUM, July 22, 2026 (SUNA) – Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris directed authorities to improve service quality and simplify procedures for passengers at Khartoum International Airport. During his inspection visit to the airport, accompanied by Minister of Energy Al-Mu’tasim Ibrahim, Prime Minister’s Adviser Nizar Abdullah Mohamed, and Sudan Electricity Company Director General Abdullah Mohamed Ahmed Ali, the Prime Minister also ordered the provision of three new world-class passenger buses, additional fuel tankers, and enhanced electricity supply. Idris toured the airport’s various facilities, including the arrival and departure halls, passport control, customs, and baggage handling areas, where he reviewed passenger processing procedures and assessed the level of services provided. He also inspected ongoing rehabilitation, expansion, and modernization works at the airport, as well as the reported increase in air traffic. According to SUNA, a number of citizens welcomed the Prime Minister’s visit, saying it reflected the government’s concern for improving public services.BH/BH
