Amman, July 15 (Petra) — President of the Private Hospitals
Association (PHA) Fawzi Hammouri and Director General of the Social
Security Corporation (SSC) Hazem Rahahleh discussed mechanisms to
enhance cooperation and improve healthcare services provided to
insured individuals, with a focus on addressing challenges related to
workplace injury cases.

According to a statement issued by the association on Wednesday, the
meeting addressed the partnership between private hospitals and the
Corporation and the importance of ongoing coordination to support
shared objectives and improve healthcare services for beneficiaries.

Hammouri, during the meeting attended by members of the association’s
board, highlighted the challenges faced by private hospitals in
managing workplace injury cases, stressing the need for practical
solutions to streamline procedures and ensure the continued provision
of efficient medical care.

He also proposed examining a financial settlement mechanism between
the costs owed by the SSC to private hospitals for treating workplace
injuries and the financial obligations and contributions due from
hospitals to the corporation for their employees. He said the
proposal would help facilitate financial procedures and support
hospitals’ cash flow.

Rahahleh reaffirmed the corporation’s commitment to strengthening its
partnership with private hospitals, recognizing their role in
receiving and treating workplace injuries and providing comprehensive
healthcare services to insured individuals.

He stressed the importance of developing practical solutions to the
challenges discussed in order to improve cooperation mechanisms,
adding that a specialized company has been assigned to manage medical
treatment cases.
