Amman, Oct. 8 (Petra) – Director of Public Security Directorate (PSD)
Obaidallah Maaytah met on Thursday with Hilda Sirec, Assistant
Commissioner of National Security Investigations for the Australian
Federal Police (AFP), to expand security ties to counter organized
transnational crime.
Talking at the meeting held at the PSD’s headquarters, Maaytah voiced
the PSD’s commitment to improving international partnerships with
global law enforcement agencies to reinforce the rule of law and
combat crime.
He called for expanding specialized expertise exchange and leveraging
modern technologies and advanced policing practices to keep pace with
evolving criminal tactics.
Sirec, in turn, hailed the PSD’s advanced capabilities and its role
in supporting regional stability, noting the importance of
coordination in combating cybercrime and emerging crime trends.
