Amman, Sept. 2 (Petra) — Qatar has strongly condemned the renewed
Iranian attacks on the territories of Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait,
describing them as a blatant violation of the sovereignty and
territorial integrity of the targeted countries and a flagrant breach
of international law, the UN Charter and the principles of
good-neighborly relations.
According to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Qatari Ministry of
Foreign Affairs said the continuation of the attacks represents a
dangerous escalation that could complicate efforts to contain
tensions and undermine political and diplomatic efforts aimed at
achieving security and stability in the region. It also said Iran
bears full legal responsibility for the attacks and their resulting
repercussions and consequences.
The ministry reaffirmed Qatar’s full solidarity with the three
countries and its support for all legitimate measures they take to
safeguard their sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.
It stressed the need for an immediate and complete halt to all
military actions and attacks that threaten the security and stability
of the region. It also called for refraining from actions that could
expand the scope of the escalation, returning seriously to dialogue
and negotiations, and adhering to the understandings reached through
diplomatic efforts.
