Cairo, June 29 (QNA) – The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Interior (MOI), participated in the 23rd Arab Conference of Heads of Correctional and Reform Institutions, held in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt.
The MOI delegation participating in the conference was headed by Director of the MOI’s General Directorate of Penal and Correctional Institutions Major General Nasser Mohammed Issa Al Sayed.
The participants discussed a number of topics on the agenda, including following up on the implementation of the recommendations of the previous conference, reviewing member states’ experiences, digital transformation, and the use of modern technologies in developing correctional and rehabilitation institutions.
Appropriate decisions were taken in this regard, in order to enhance Arab cooperation and exchange expertise and experiences in the field of correctional and rehabilitation work. (QNA)
