Doha, October 08 (QNA) – The State of Qatar participated in the 46th meeting of the Committee of Undersecretaries Responsible for Environmental Affairs in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, held via videoconference.
Qatar was represented at the meeting by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Eng. Abdulaziz bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud.
The meeting discussed follow-up on the implementation of the Supreme Council’s decision concerning the GCC countries’ environmental priorities, as well as developments related to support for the Green Middle East Initiative.
It also addressed the work plan of the Committee of Ministers Responsible for Environmental Affairs through 2030, along with a number of issues related to strengthening joint Gulf environmental action. (QNA)
