Doha, June 29 (QNA) – Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality has inaugurated a new medical clinic at the General Cleanliness Department Complex in the Industrial Area to enhance access to healthcare for workers.

The facility was opened by the ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Public Services Affairs Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Al Karani, in the presence of Assistant Undersecretary for Migrant Labor Affairs at the Ministry of Labor, Hamad Faraj Dalmouk and Director of the General Cleanliness Department, Muqbil Madhour Al Shammari, alongside other ministry officials.

Al Shammari said the inauguration underscores the department’s unremitting commitment to providing a safe and wholesome environment based on the highest standards.

He added that the clinic would provide services to more than 3,200 workers, offering medical screening, primary care, and dispensing medications.

The clinic operates in two shifts daily, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., to ensure flexible access to medical services for all workers, Al Shammari highlighted.

Al Shammari further noted that the opening of the medical facility is part of the efforts to strengthen the health system and occupational safety by offering rapid, integrated medical services within the work environment, thereby helping to promote workers’ quality of occupational life and the sustainability of the services provided by the department.
