QSE Index Opens Marginally Lower

Doha, June 24 (QNA) – The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index dropped 1.53 points, or 0.01%, at the start of Wednesday’s trading, down to 10,407 points compared to the previous session’s closing.

The market was weighed down by declines in Transportation (-0.03%), Banks and Financial Services (-0.06%), Consumer Goods and Services sector by (-0.11%), Telecoms (-0.14%), Real Estate (-0.25%) and Insurance (-0.53%). On the other hand, the performance was positive for Industrials (+0.18%).

At 10:00 a.m, QSE recorded 2834 transactions worth QAR 45.639 million, distributed across 17.476 million shares. (QNA)
