Amman, July 5 (Petra) – Economic and Social Corporation for Military
Retirees and Veterans (ESARSV) and the Land Transport Regulatory
Commission (LTRC) signed an agreement on Sunday to extend the
investment and operating contract for the airport taxi office at
Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) by 8 years.

Under the agreement, ESARSV will operate QAIA’s taxi service for an
additional eight years with a modern vehicle fleet. This extension is
designed to accommodate rising passenger volumes and cut wait times
by delivering a “safer, more reliable, and efficient transit
experience.”

Retired Major General Adnan Raqad, the ESARSV’s Director-General and
Chairman of the Executive Council signed the agreement.

Talking at the signing ceremony, Raqad said the agreement reflects a
“robust” partnership and a mutual commitment by both organizations to
bring local public transportation in line with global standards and
best practices.

The airport taxi project is part of a ESARSV’s broader investment
strategy to support military retirees through job creation and
enhanced socioeconomic well-being.

This initiative directly advances the ESARSV’s mission to champion
veterans while supporting Jordan’s national efforts to empower former
service members and drive sustainable development.
