Madrid Present Trent Alexander-Arnold as New Signing
Madrid, 12 Jun (ONA) — Real Madrid today unveiled their new
signing, English international Trent Alexander-Arnold, who joins the Spanish
giants from Liverpool.
The player officially signed his contract during a ceremony
held at Real Madrid’s training complex, Ciudad Real Madrid, attended by club
president Florentino Pérez.
The club had announced the acquisition of the English
defender on 30 May 2025, with a contract running until June 2031.
Speaking in Spanish during his presentation, Alexander-Arnold
said: “Thank you to the president and the club for this opportunity. This
is a dream come true. I am very happy and proud to be here, and I look forward
to showing my skills in front of the Real Madrid fans.”
He added: “I know that playing for Real Madrid comes
with great responsibility, but I am ready to give everything I have. I want to
showcase my abilities, win many trophies, and enjoy playing alongside the best
players in the world.”
The presentation ceremony began with a video showcasing the
player’s best moments, followed by a speech from Real Madrid president
Florentino Pérez, who said: “Today is a very important day for all our
fans, as Real Madrid welcome a player who has won everything. He is one of the
best full-backs in the world, a player who made history at one of football’s
most prestigious clubs, Liverpool.”
Pérez added: “Today, we welcome an exceptional player
who is eager to experience the joy of wearing our shirt.”
Alexander-Arnold is widely regarded as one of the finest
right-backs in world football. During his time at Liverpool, he won nine major
trophies, including the UEFA Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup, the
UEFA Super Cup, two English Premier League (EPL) titles, the FA Cup, two EFL
Cups, and the Community Shield.
