Sanad app qualifies for final stage of Digital@UNGA Awards 2026: Ministry

Amman, Aug. 29 (Petra) –Sanad app, the official digital gateway for
public services, has qualified for the final stage of the
Digital@UNGA Awards 2026, organized by the International
Telecommunication Union (ITU).

The app ranked among the top 15 shortlisted projects in the Digital
Government category, competing in a “wide-ranging” international
competition that attracted nearly 1,500 entries from 146 countries
worldwide.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Digital Economy
and Entrepreneurship on Saturday, the Digital@UNGA Awards 2026, held
during the United Nations General Assembly, highlight “outstanding”
digital initiatives and solutions that contribute to leveraging
technology to serve communities, develop services, and promote
digital transformation.

Sanad’s qualification comes in recognition of its achievements in
improving access to government services digitally, facilitating
transactions, and enhancing integration among government services
within a more user-friendly, efficient, and reliable digital system.

Following completion of the assessment process by the judging panel,
the final winners will be announced during the Digital@UNGA Awards
2026 ceremony, which is set to be held on September 21 at the United
Nations headquarters in New York.

The ministry affirmed this qualification represents a “new”
achievement in Jordan’s digital transformation journey and reflects
the continuous efforts of the ministry’s teams and partners in
developing digital government services and enhancing presence of the
Jordanian experience at the international level.
