Amman, Sept. 2 (Petra) — Saudi Arabia on Wednesday denounced Iranian
attacks on Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait, reiterating its full
solidarity with the three countries in any measures they take to
protect their security and sovereignty from any threat.
Saudi Arabia also condemned Iran’s attack on the Saudi oil tanker
SIDR as it transited the Strait of Hormuz, which killed members of
the vessel’s crew, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Saudi Foreign Ministry stressed the need to halt the escalation
and respect the security and safety of international navigation, the
security of global energy supplies, good-neighborliness, state
sovereignty, the U.N. Charter, and international law and norms.
It called on all parties to de-escalate, halt the escalation, respect
international law and return to negotiations and peaceful solutions.
