Amman, July 16 (Petra) — Seasonal summer weather is projected to
continue across most parts of the country through Sunday, while hot
conditions will persist in the badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and
Aqaba, according to the Meteorological Department.

For Thursday and Friday, typical summer conditions are expected over
the highlands and plains, with higher temperatures concentrated in
the badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Moderate northwesterly winds will blow across the country,
occasionally strengthening. A slight rise in temperatures is
anticipated on Saturday, bringing relatively warm conditions to most
regions, though the overall weather pattern remains steady through
Sunday with continued hot conditions in low-lying and desert areas.

On Thursday, temperatures in East Amman will range from a maximum of
34 degrees Celsius to a minimum of 22 degrees Celsius, while West
Amman will see a high of 32 degrees Celsius and a low of 20 degrees
Celsius.

In the northern highlands, temperatures are expected to reach 30
degrees Celsius and drop to 19 degrees Celsius, whereas the Sharah
highlands will record a high of 31 degrees Celsius and a low of 17
degrees Celsius.

The badia regions will experience a high of 38 degrees Celsius and a
low of 22 degrees Celsius, and the plains will range between 34
degrees Celsius and 21 degrees Celsius.

For the lower-elevation areas, the northern Jordan Valley is forecast
to reach 40 degrees Celsius with a low of 24 degrees Celsius, while
the southern Jordan Valley will see a high of 42 degrees Celsius and
a low of 26 degrees Celsius.

Finally, temperatures at the Dead Sea will peak at 41 degrees Celsius
and drop to 25 degrees Celsius, while the Gulf of Aqaba is forecast
to experience a high of 41 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26
degrees Celsius.
