London, July 2 (QNA) – Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of the Sultanate of Oman, currently visiting the United Kingdom, met on Thursday with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
The two sides reviewed regional developments and exchanged views on ways to de-escalate tensions and prevent further escalation, including support for ongoing negotiations and diplomatic efforts to restore safe navigation through Gulf waterways and reach a lasting agreement on the remaining outstanding issues, particularly the Iranian nuclear program.
They noted that such an agreement would help preserve regional stability and promote peaceful coexistence and constructive cooperation among neighboring countries.
The meeting also covered bilateral relations and ways to strengthen the strategic partnership, expand cooperation across various sectors, and advance the shared interests of both countries. (QNA)
