Syrian arms depot explosion kills 14 in northern Idlib

Amman, Sept. 9 (Petra) – A weapons depot exploded near Sarmada in
northern Idlib on Wednesday, killing at least 14 people, injuring 11
, and leaving others trapped beneath the rubble.

In its statement, Syrian Defense Ministry reported the blast occurred
at a facility used for consolidating weapons and remnants of war
ahead of disposal.

While specialized units coordinate with local authorities to secure
the area, Idlib Health Directorate media head Subhi Assaf confirmed
rescue crews are “actively” searching the rubble for survivors.
