Amman, Sep. 2 (Petra) — Relatively hot conditions will prevail
across most regions on Wednesday before temperatures begin to ease
from Thursday, bringing more moderate weather to the highlands and
plains through Saturday, according to the Jordan Meteorological
Department.

Temperatures are forecast to rise slightly on Wednesday, with hot
weather expected in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and
Aqaba. Winds will be moderate, shifting between northeasterly and
northwesterly.

A slight decline in temperatures is expected on Thursday, when
moderate conditions will return to the mountainous areas and plains.
The Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba will remain hot,
while low clouds are expected in some areas. Moderate northwesterly
winds may become active across the Badia during the afternoon.

Temperatures will edge lower again on Friday, with moderate weather
continuing across the highlands and plains and hot conditions
persisting in the Badia and low-lying areas. Low clouds are forecast
over northern regions, while moderate northwesterly winds will become
active at intervals.

Little change is expected on Saturday, with moderate conditions
prevailing across the mountainous areas and plains. Hot weather will
continue in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba,
accompanied by moderate northwesterly winds.

Wednesday’s temperatures are forecast to reach 36 degrees Celsius in
East Amman and across the plains and 34 C in West Amman. Highs will
reach 32 C in the northern highlands, 33 C in the Sharah highlands
and 39 C in the Badia.

Temperatures are expected to climb to 41 C in the northern Jordan
Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, and 42 C in the southern Jordan
Valley.
