Amman, Oct. 9 (Petra)– Tens of thousands of worshipers performed
Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al-Sharif despite
restrictions imposed by Israeli occupation forces on those seeking to
enter Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Islamic Waqf Department said tens of thousands of
worshipers performed Friday prayers at the mosque, according to
Palestinian media reports.
Israeli occupation forces imposed strict restrictions on worshipers’
access to Al-Aqsa Mosque through military checkpoints surrounding
Jerusalem. They also prevented dozens of young men from reaching the
mosque after stopping them at checkpoints and iron barriers set up
around the city, the Old City and the mosque.
