Washington, October 09 (QNA) – US President Donald Trump said the United States is engaged in “productive” talks with Iran and stated that Washington will not launch an attack on Tehran before the US congressional midterm elections scheduled for November 3.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the US blockade of Iranian ports remains in effect while oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz continue at record levels. He claimed that 22 million barrels of oil crossed the strait the previous night, with none originating from or destined for Iran.
Trump also said Iran is facing severe economic and military pressure while the blockade remains in place, reiterating that Iran will not be allowed to possess a nuclear weapon. (QNA)
