Two pilots killed in F-4 Phantom crash at Greek airshow near Athens

Amman, Sept 5 (Petra) — Two pilots were killed when a military F-4
Phantom aircraft crashed at a Greek airbase outside Athens during an
airshow.

According to the Athens News Agency, authorities reported that the
bodies of both pilots were recovered after the aircraft crashed
during an aerial display at Tanagra Air Base. The exact circumstances
surrounding the incident remain under investigation, though initial
reports indicate the two-person crew was unable to eject from the
U.S.-made fighter-bomber.

The aircraft exploded in front of thousands of spectators attending
the annual Athens Flying Week event.
