UN condemns Houthi strikes targeting Saudi Arabia

New York, Sept. 8 (Petra) — The United Nations strongly condemned on
Tuesday recent Houthi attacks targeting multiple locations in
southern Saudi Arabia that damaged civilian infrastructure and energy
facilities.

Stéphane Dujarric, official spokesperson for UN Secretary-General
António Guterres, expressed deep concern over reports of civilian
casualties resulting from the strikes. “We are equally concerned by
the intensification of military clashes across multiple fronts in
Yemen, particularly reports indicating potential civilian casualties
due to this fighting,” Dujarric stated.

The UN called on all involved parties to exercise maximum restraint,
prevent further military escalation, and ensure that civilian
populations and infrastructure are protected from the effects of the
conflict.
