Amman, July 5 (Petra) – Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ) caught on
Sunday several homeowners in Ain Al-Basha illegally diverting water
lines to fill tanker trucks.
Authorities disconnected the illegal lines, removed the connections,
and documented the violations to start legal proceedings.
WAJ warned it will not tolerate water theft that threatens public
access, calling illegal use a major challenge for the sector.
Officials stated that joint enforcement will continue to protect
resources and ensure fair distribution.
