Amman, Sep. 6 (Petra) – Lower House Media and National Guidance
Committee, headed by MP Dr. Hussein Omoush, visited the Zaha Cultural
Center (ZCC) on Sunday to review the center’s programs, activities,
and its role in serving children, youth, and the community.

According to a committee statement, Omoush said the center has a
“clear vision and a genuine” grasp of the needs of Jordanian society
through its programs, aimed at unleashing talents of children and
youth and developing their skills to join the job market.

He added that many young people have benefited from the center’s
training programs and acquired valuable skills that have improved
their job prospects.

He called for maintaining these efforts in various relevant
institutions, which would give hope and confidence to youth to build
their future.

On its goals, he said the center also seeks to empower the target
groups with the skills and competencies that make them “more
competitive” in the job market, which would enhance their income,
self-confidence, and productivity.

He pointed to the importance of the center’s role in providing
“purposeful” programs and activities and developing the abilities and
skills of children and youth.

He stressed the need to support institutions and centers that provide
quality services to the community and to enhance cooperation and
coordination with them.

In turn, the center’s executive director, Rania Subaih, reviewed its
key programs, projects, work mechanisms, and partnerships with
various entities.

To date, she said the center has achieved a “distinguished” presence
in the field of volunteer work and has received 85 awards at the Arab
and international levels.

She added that the center has struck partnerships with approximately
350 entities from the international organizations, civil society
institutions, and the public and private sectors.

She added that the ZCC pays “remarkable” attention to developing
creativity and skills in children from an early age through
specialized programs in arts, programming, artificial intelligence,
and robotics, noting the participation of the center’s students in
national, Arab, and international competitions, who won approximately
15,000 awards.

She also highlighted the center’s programs in the economic
empowerment field, including hydroponic and greenhouse projects,
referring to training youth in modern agricultural techniques to
establish their own projects and market their products.
