Amman, Sept 15 (Petra) — Firefighting teams from the Zarqa Civil
Defense Directorate extinguished a fire that broke out inside a paint
factory in the Al-Hashimiyya area of Zarqa Governorate on Tuesday,
according to the spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate
(PSD).
The spokesperson stated that emergency crews contained the blaze and
prevented it from spreading to adjacent properties. Five people
suffered shortness of breath after inhaling gases released by the
fire.
Paramedics administered first aid to the injured on site before
transferring them to Zarqa Government Hospital, where they received
medical treatment and were subsequently discharged.
A joint committee of relevant authorities will be formed to
investigate the cause of the fire.
