Amman, May 24 (Petra) –Board of the Jordanian Integrity and
Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC) on Sunday referred 15 employees
from the Ministry of Finance to the Public Prosecutor over diverse
financial and administrative violations.
The JIACC, in a statement, said 4 of the ministry workers were
charged with felony offenses, including embezzlement through forgery,
abuse of office and waste of public funds, while others were referred
for misdemeanor counts of negligence in performing official duties.
Investigations showed the employees embezzled around JD417,000 during
2025 by using various methods, including forging payment documents
and their attachments, fabricating false invoices, repeatedly
processing the same invoices, and manipulating their values.
An JIACC official source said financial audits for previous years are
currently ongoing.
