Doha, February 23 (QNA) -The fourth edition of the Pearl Beach Volleyball Championship (EKBES) kicked off Monday.
Held at The Pearl Island, the tournament will run until the 18th of Ramadan and features 12 teams divided into four groups.
On Tuesday Al Jassasiya will face Vicuna, Seashore will play Al Zubarah, and Al Rayyan will meet Al Dafna in three highly anticipated matches, reflecting the high caliber of the teams vying for the title in this fourth edition.
The tournament draw, overseen by the Qatar Volleyball Association, divided the participating teams into four groups.
Group A consists of Lekhwiya, Seashore, and Lusail; Group B includes the Ministry of Interior, Al Rayyan, and Al Dafna; Group C comprises Al Mirqab, Madinat Khalifa, and Al Ittihad; and Group D comprises Al Jassasiya, Vicuna, and Al Zubarah.
The tournament will be played in a single round-robin format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals.

The first and second editions were held at Aspire Academy, while the third edition was held at Doha Port before the current edition began on Pearl Island. (QNA)
